Night Read (Ohio): Trumbull Memorial Hospital union leader not excited about potential new owner

A union leader at Trumbull Memorial Hospital told the Warren Tribune Chronicle on Thursday his members aren’t ”overly excited” about the prospect of Nashville, Tenn.-based Ardent Health Services buying Trumbull parent Forum Health, which is reorganizing in bankruptcy court.

Akron General Health System recently began advertising up-to-the-minute wait times for its emergency rooms on billboards throughout town, according to the Akron Beacon Journal.

A health care company and leader were among winners of TechColumbus Innovation Awards: Progressive Medical, the managed care services provider in Westerville, won the Outstanding Service Innovation Award (50 or more employees); and Cheryl Herbert, president of OhioHealth-Dublin Methodist Hospital, won the Outstanding Woman in Technology Award.

Susan M. Paschke, chief clinical and quality officer for the Visiting Nurse Association of Ohio, has been elected a director of the American Academy of Ambulatory Care Nursing, according to an association release (pdf).
