Night Read (Ohio): Trumbull Memorial Hospital union leader not excited about potential new owner

Forum Health logo via www.forumhealth.orgA union leader at Trumbull Memorial Hospital told the Warren Tribune Chronicle on Thursday his members aren’t ”overly excited” about the prospect of Nashville, Tenn.-based Ardent Health Services buying Trumbull parent Forum Health, which is reorganizing in bankruptcy court.

Akron General Health System recently began advertising up-to-the-minute wait times for its emergency rooms on billboards throughout town, according to the Akron Beacon Journal.

A health care company and leader were among winners of TechColumbus Innovation Awards: Progressive Medical, the managed care services provider in Westerville, won the Outstanding Service Innovation Award (50 or more employees); and Cheryl Herbert, president of OhioHealth-Dublin Methodist Hospital, won the Outstanding Woman in Technology Award.


Susan M. Paschke, chief clinical and quality officer for the Visiting Nurse Association of Ohio, has been elected a director of the American Academy of Ambulatory Care Nursing, according to an association release (pdf).
