Someone should tell CoreSpine Technologies that they are running out of Minnesota entrepreneurial awards to win.
Two years after capturing the Minnesota Cup, the medical device startup based in Minnetonka, Minnesota, grabbed a Tekne Award for the state’s top “small and growing” lifescience company.
CoreSpine designs instruments that remove diseased materials like cartilage and nucleus from patients’ spines before doctors perform surgery to relieve chronic back pain, a condition that plagues a growing number of Americans.
“CoreSpine is dedicated to helping physicians utilize surgical therapies that are both cost-effective, and reduce patient pain and recovery time,” Founder Christine Horton said in a statement. “We believe this award illustrates how advancing technology can be used to not only improve patient outcomes but deliver them at a reduced cost.”
