Scheduling and shift management software firm OnShift Inc. has raised $2.3 million to build its sales and marketing staff.

The investment round was led by Pittsburgh-based Draper Triangle Ventures and included participation from several Northeast Ohio investors, including Early Stage Partners, JumpStart Inc., North Coast Angel Fund and Glengary LLC, according to a statement from OnShift.

OnShift, which sells its software as a service to hospitals, nursing homes and other long-term care facilities, is hoping to continue growing its market share, according to the statement. The 24-employee company already been growing at a rapid rate, with 150 current customers, up from 24 in June, Crain’s Cleveland Business reported.

The company’s Web-based scheduling software can help clients reduce labor costs by preventing overtime, mitigating regulatory risk and improving efficiencies through automated scheduling, OnShift said.

“This funding validates OnShift’s achievements in the healthcare industry,” CEO Mark Woodka said. “Our market presence, customer growth and successful implementations will continue on an even greater scale with this investment.”

Along with the new investment, Michael Stubler, a managing director with Draper Triangle,  joins OnShift’s board.
