GE Healthcare signed two new deals that will expand its footprint in the radiotherapy and diagnostics market in China and offer mass spectrometry support in North America.
GE signed a memorandum of understanding with Beijing-based Concord Medical Services Holdings Ltd., which operates the largest network of radiotherapy and diagnostic imaging centers in China. They will jointly participate in academic, marketing, news and conference initiatives to create opportunities for scientific exchange.
Through the partnership, the companies will also expand into rural and primary care markets in China, and Concord will get preferred subscriber status to purchase GE’s products at “the best possible prices,” according to the press release.
GE, which ranked 3rd on the MassDevice Big 100 list of the world’s largest medical device companies, announced a second partnership yesterday, this one with AB Sciex, a global mass spectrometry company. The collaboration agreement brings on-site service and maintenance support of AB Sciex’s systems to GE customers throughout North America.
