CRO Medpace adds offices in Italy and Scotland

Clinical research organization Medpace has opened new offices in Italy and Scotland.

The new offices bring Cincinnati-based Medpace’s number of European locations to 10, according to a statement from the company.

“Medpace continues to grow to support clinical studies conducted in Europe, and investment for these initiatives is an ongoing process,” said Dr. Dieter Seitz-Tutter, a vice president with Medpace in Europe.

Much of the European growth is focused around oncology, cardiovascular and metabolic studies, according to the statement.

In addition to Cincinnati, Medpace has U.S. operations in Minneapolis. The company has more than 1,000 employees across the world.

New York private equity firm CCMP Capital paid a reported $600 million in May to acquire a majority stake in Medpace.
