UH Case Medical Center promotes new chief medical officer

University Hospitals Case Medical Center has a new chief medical officer.

Dr. Michael Anderson, who’s been a member of University Hospitals’ (UH) pediatrics department since 1997, also will assume the CMO role at UH’s Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital, according to a statement from Cleveland-based UH.

Anderson’s previous title was vice president and associate chief medical officer for UH.

In his new role, Anderson will team with other executives to oversee quality and patient safety, research and technology, graduate medical education, continuing medical education, risk management, and credentialing and medical staff services, according to the statement.
