We could be waiting as long as three more weeks to hear the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision on the constitutionality of President Barack Obama’s healthcare plan. In the meantime, here’s a nifty tool to check out.

Leavitt Partners is offering some choose-your-own-adventure style insight into what might happen with healthcare reform policies as a result of the Supreme Court decision and the 2012 elections with its Health Reform Bracketology tool.

It’s is an interactive PDF bracket that forecasts how Republicans and Democrats might react under various scenarios. For example, if the individual mandate is overturned, the rest of the law is upheld and Republicans sweep the election, the firm predicts that Republicans will try and fail to repeal the PPACA and use Rep. Paul Ryan’s budget as a blueprint for Medicare reform.

The healthcare intelligence firm developed this scenario-planning tool with the help of its FuturePanel — a group of healthcare thought leaders that includes former Aetna CEO Ronald Williams and former national coordinator for Health Information Technology David Blumenthal — and other industry experts. Michael Leavitt, the firm’s founder and CEO, is a former Republican governor of Utah and the former secretary of Health and Human Services.
