One iPhone app that all hospitals should have

Ever dread the idea of having to wait endlessly at the emergency room of a hospital? Would it be great to know in real time what emergency room wait times were?

Well, one hospital in Massachusetts has answered that prayer. The Newton-Wellesley Hospital in Newton has an app called NWH Mobile Wait Time.

And yes, it provides users the ability to know in real time what the ER wait times are. The app also provides a physician directory, directions, preregistration and other functionality.

Reviews on the App Store show that despite some kinks, users are unanimous in giving the hospital kudos for the wait time feature.

The app was made by MedTouch that helps healthcare organizations with online strategy.
