Health IT expert, not shy about voicing opinion, to discuss the evolving standards of mhealth

July 2, 2012 12:01 pm by | 0 Comments

There are many who believe that digital technology has the power to transform healthcare.

But not all have authored more than 40 scholarly publications in medical informatics, computer science, and pure and applied mathematics. That credit goes to Albert Shar, the first vice president of information technology at the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. He also holds a patent in medical imaging.

Shar’s interest in health IT extends to the rapidly emerging discipline of mHealth, and his Twitter feed portrays that he is a big consumer of mobile health news. It also reveals that he isn’t shy about making an opinion or raising questions, instead of just passively reading and sharing.

Shar will be discussing the evolving standards in mobile healthon July 10 at CONVERGE. Buy your ticket here.
