Bootcamp Ventures has helped connect three young Israeli startups with $2.25 million in new funds, including promising mobile security company Zimperium.

Bootcamp has global offices and partners in Tel Aviv, Istanbul, New York, Berlin, and Venice. With this setup, it can provide what it calls a “Global Innovation Xchange” that makes fund-raising seed rounds outside of Silicon Valley easier. Basically, it connects startups with VC firms and provides “strategic input” on the deals.

The Israeli startups Zimperium, Clarisite, and an unnamed business intelligence startup received funds. Zimperium, a mobile security company we spoke with at DEMO Spring 2012, got $250,000 U.S.-based Lazarus Israel Opportunity Fund. Clarisite, makers of web transaction software, got $500,000 from Lazarus as well. The unnamed intelligence startup secured $1.5 million from Bright Capital Fund.

Zimperium especially stands out on the list because it addresses the serious threat of mobile security with its software for enterprises. “Mobile phones are replacing the traditional home and business computers,” CEO Zuk Avraham told us back in April. “Mobile security is therefore a growing concern, and most people don’t realize how vulnerable they really are.”
