See doctors dance, surgeons rap in our top 5 Pink Glove Dance videos

More than 200 hospitals are putting their digital media skills — and their dancing skills — to the test in the name of breast cancer awareness.

The Pink Glove Dance 2012 video competition has drawn more than 200 entries from hospitals, schools, dance groups, nursing homes and physician practices vying for a $10,000 donation to their favorite breast cancer charity.

Medline Industries Inc. created the original Pink Glove Dance video with Providence St. Vincent Medical Center in Portland, Oregon as a fun way to raise awareness for breast cancer three years ago. The video went viral (it has 13.7 million views to date), so a sequel video ensued, and there was so much buzz about it that Medline launched a video competition in 2011.

From the looks of it, a lot of these places put some serious time and effort into these videos. Voting is open through Nov. 12. Which will be the next YouTube sensation? Below are our picks.

Athens Regional Health Center — Northeast Georgia (@AthensRegional)

Lexington Medical Center (@LexMedCtr) — West Columbia, South Carolina (last year’s winner)

Stony Brook Medicine (@StonyBrookMed) — Stony Brook, New York

Halifax Health (@HalifaxHealth) — Daytona Beach, Florida

Christus St. Michael Health System (@CHRISTUSHealth) — Texarkana, Texas
