Sometimes taking a risk pays off. Wendy Mayer, VP, Worldwide Innovation at Pfizer, said the biggest risk she took in her career happened when she got the opportunity to work in a different part of the organization. That was a much better choice than taking the safe career route.
Mayer also had advice for anyone starting a company: be confident.
