Watch out coastlines–the Midwest and South are making big plays for the medtech economy. Qmed‘s top three medtech states won’t surprise you–California, Massachusetts, Minnesota. But No. 4 might. Indiana is officially a top medtech destination, with Orthopedics Capital of the World, Warsaw, Ind., driving its ranking and its $13.8 billion economy.
The other states that round out the top 10, in no particular order, include: Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Texas, Michigan and Ohio.
