Representatives on the House Energy and Commerce committee were short on patience but long on indignation and speeches when it came to expressing disgust with the troubled healthcare.gov, Obamacare, and with each other.

Probably the most memorable line and the most dramatic came from Rep. Frank Pallone (D-NJ) which can be heard in the exchange in the video segment above. “I will not yield to this monkey court.”

Rep. Joe Pitts (R-PA) referred to healthcare.gov as “the worst health IT disaster in government history.” He also elicited a memorable response from Cheryl Campbell of CGI Federal who got plenty of airtime as the lead contractor on healthcare.gov.

Pitts: “Why doesn’t it work?”

Campbell: “If there was a silver bullet to answer that question, I would give it to you.”

The Wall Street Journal produced a live blog of the hearing. Rep. Michael Burgess (R-Texas), in response to the fingerpointing by the contractors testifying at the hearing that the errors were caused by CMS ,said:

“It seems like we have several fingers but no palm.”

A couple of committee members, such as Rep. Cory Williams (R-OK) and Rep Anna Eshoo (D-CA)  came up with some amusing tech quips with mixed results.

Gardner strained a little too hard with his simile:

Which earned him an appropriate response.
