MedCity Media is looking for a director of content marketing to implement healthcare-focused custom content and content marketing projects. This is a fun and challenging healthcare marketing job that ranges from managing custom content projects for hospitals to ideating and implementing native advertising campaigns.

A director of content marketing at MedCity Media is responsible for oversight and implementation of content marketing projects. This person will also direct, participate and drive strategy on projects. The job answers directly to the CEO, who works with directors in a collaborative way to manage content marketing.

This is one of two directors of content marketing within the company.

The director is responsible for:

  • Account management: Directors work directly with healthcare clients from concept creation to delivery of the final product; they stay in touch with clients to make sure they are happy with our work; and they serve as a point of contact for clients as well as contractors (writers, printers, designers, etc.) who are involved in specific projects
  • Content direction: Directors assist clients with identifying what types of content they need to achieve their goals and work with clients to fine-tune what the focus of the content will be and how it will be written and organized. Directors also work with the business development team to estimate the cost and time involved in creating content based on the client’s needs, and track the amount of time and money spent on projects. Directors will also edit and proofread content
  • Thought leader: Directors strive to be thought leaders in content marketing, stay informed about new types of products MedCity Media could offer, and are constantly learning about trends and changes in the content-marketing industry

The position will pay in the low $60Ks and includes health insurance. Directors can work from anywhere, but there is a strong preference for personnel based in Greater Cleveland, Ohio. Ideal candidates have knowledge of healthcare marketing and healthcare social media; have planned and executed content marketing projects successfully; have a background in writing and editing; and have a good client-service focus. A significant advantage will be given to people who have backgrounds in healthcare financial writing, white papers and native advertising campaigns.
