Bloomberg healthcare reporter Sasha Damouni has tweeted an aide told the magazine the medical device tax repeal is not included in the budget deal. Despite the intensive efforts of the medical device industry to repeal the 2.3 percent tax on revenue that represents $30 billion in Obamacare funding as part of the debt ceiling deal, if this source is correct, it looks like bleak days for a repeal but (yay!) potentially an end to the shutdown in sight.
