Improving the experience of care. Improving population health. Reducing the cost of care. It’s the so-called Triple Aim in healthcare, and a contest run by a Cincinnati health IT accelerator is looking for promising companies with products or solutions that enable it.

Startups have until Oct. 20 to apply for Innov8 for Health’s Startup Showcase, where they can win up to $5,000 in cash and in-kind services. Winners will also get exposure to potential customers such as Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and Medical Center and TriHealth, investors, collaborators and mentors.

Innov8 for Health is a collaborative devoted to creating a health innovation ecosystem in greater Cincinnati that improves health, creates jobs and retains talent. It holds three annual events and runs one accelerator program per year.

For the Startup Showcase, Innov8 for Health says startup submissions must include how the product or service supports the Triple Aim of better health, better care and lower costs.

Eight to 12 companies will be selected from the applicants and invited to a pitch weekend on Nov. 1 and 2, when finalists will be selected to move on to the showcase event on Nov. 7 at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and Medical Center.

Official rules for the showcase are here.
