With the problems associated with the portal for the Obamacare health insurance exchange HealthCare.gov , 106,000 people managed to enroll at last count. People are also signing up for plans through the state exchanges and state partnership exchanges around the country. Deloitte sourced the data from the November edition of the Department of Health and Human Services’ Health Insurance Marketplace report.
California remains the only state that’s surpassed 20,000 as of November 2. New York comes second in the 10,000-20,000 range, followed by Kentucky and Washington state. But Washington’s numbers may change after it recently announced that it miscalculated rates for health insurance plans for 8,000 people who will now have to pay more.
