Based in Indiana, Diagnotes is a virtual solution to doctor-patient communication when the doctors are out. Their website describes:

Diagnotes is a mobile and web-based software system that gives medical groups the tools to improve physician communication with their patients, care teams and office staff. Diagnotes accurately routes phone calls and text messages using its built-in provider directory and call schedules, automatically delivers key patient data from patient medical records and supports immediate, hassle-free documentation of every encounter.

Diagnotes was selected to be a part of the Launch: Silicon Valley World Cup Tech Challenge which is one of six global health tech companies. Of the 30 groups competing in the challenge, only six, including Diagnotes, will be competing in the category of Health Tech.  Others competing include Israel based Voiceltt and TruTrainer, Ukraine based Life.beats, and U.S. based Isentio and STEMP. These companies will pitch their ideas to top Silicon Valley and international investors in order to gain funding for their product. Only one startup in the Health Tech category will win the Health Tech “cup.” After being awarded $25,000 in the BioCrossroads New Venture Competition in 2012 and disclosing that they raised about $450,000, the company’s chairman and CEO, Dave Wortman says:

We are so proud to have been selected for this prestigious event, and look forward to demonstrating to the judges how our product streamlines communication and workflow for medical groups and in other healthcare settings.

From built-in call schedules to easy documentation that boosts revenue, Diagnotes is ready to pitch their patent-pending app to the world of Silicon Valley investors.
