Mamy people find it a hassle to take time out of the work day to go for a dental checkup. That’s why co-founders of Studio Dental, Dr. Sara Creighton and Lowell Caulder, created a dentist office that comes to you.

Studio Dental launched their Indigogo campaign last fall and raised more than $40,000. The video successfully conveys the company’s central message that, “Going to the dentist shouldn’t suck.”

The company has also realized that most people also don’t enjoy sitting in the patient chair for a root canal or filling, so to ease some of the pain, Studio Dental implemented a few extra details like a television monitor right above the patient chair which displays calming images. There are also skylights and 12-foot ceilings to make the office seem more spacious and comfortable for patients.

The 230 square-foot mobile office will launch this summer and has partnered with Dropbox and Google in the San Francisco area to bring dental service to their workers. Studio Dental also joined Rock Health’s latest class.

The company offers every service from Invisalign to extractions (see full list of services here). Studio Dental accepts all insurance where you choose your provider and, for the uninsured, the company offers affordable rates (click here for more details). The mobile company claims its rates are similar to other dental practices in San Francisco.

According to co-Founder Lowell, the company’s ultimate long term goal is to create a mobile and traditional office that uses “tech-savvy dentists who work for a brand that stands for good dental care.”
