Stanford University’s AIM Lab and Medicine Xwill be hosting an online course focused on patient engagement design, with the goal of educating interested participants on a number of key elements concerning patient interaction.
The course, which begins Sept. 9, is open to just about anyone — patients, providers, caregivers, entrepreneurs, “and anyone interested in how we can engage patient perspectives to improve health outcomes for all.”
The course, and the patient engagement effort, is geared toward making the healthcare system “inclusive” and empathetic” with a “healthier, activating population,” according to Stanford.

The faculty overseeing the course are Dr. Larry Chu, associate professor of anesthesia at Stanford’s School of Medicine, and Dr. Kyra Bobinet, CEO and founder of engagedIN, a behavior design firm born out of Stanford.
