Fitbit reportedly has two new activity trackers in the works, Gizmodo is reporting, after it obtained what could well be “official marketing materials,” including monitoring heart rates. Other than that, not much appears to be different.

A tipster sent the Gawker-owned website the materials, offering the “first clear look” at Fitibit Charge and Charge HD.

From Gizmodo:

“The Fitbit Charge appears to look very much like the Fitbit Force, which the company was forced to recall last year after some users complained of rashes and skin burns. …The images … show the same fuller display and wider band that made the Force feel more high-end than the flimsier Fitbit Flex. Presumably, though, Fitbit has now figured out a way to make it without the nickel that was causing all of those skin irritations.”

Other features appear to be similar to Force but with some improvements. It will similarly track steps, distance, calories burned, floors climbed and active minutes; display time, stats and caller ID and monitor sleep quality.

But what’s significantly different is the Fitbit Charge HR, which will supposedly monitor a person’s heart rate – a feature previously unavailable that will give 24-hour reads on the heart rate.

Still not known is more hardware questions and what battery life is like.
