Every region of the country has different types of cuisine they are famous for, and some states are known for particular dishes on their own. During the holidays, people generally seem to go the same route with turkey and maybe stuffing, yams, cranberry sauce – your standard Thanksgiving fare.

The New York Times decided to take a look at which unique (and some bizarre) dishes are searched on Google the most in each of the 50 states. This analysis is supposed to somewhat indicate how the states are different, but this isn’t necessarily presenting what is the most popular dish, because technically you could imagine that the most popular might not need to be googled as much. Regardless, it does show us how different we all eat during our day of thanks.

You can take a closer look at the entire list, but here were a few of our favorites:

Ohio – Dirt Pudding: This isn’t the strangest one on the list, but definitely one that doesn’t sound delicious upon first hearing the name. It’s really just desert pudding with crushed up Oreos.

Utah – Funeral Potatoes:  This dish is basically just a cheesy hashbrown casserole, just with a more unusual name. It’s apparently a traditional dish for Mormons.

Colorado, Nevada, Idaho and Wyoming – Frog Eye Salad:  This one is a little bizarre as it apparently involves combining marshmallows, eggs, fruit and pasta. Doesn’t sound like the most appetizing thing, but obviously it’s popular in that region of the country. It’s the only that shows up the most in four different states.

California – Persimmon Bread:  Yams and sweet potatoes are apparently searched the most in California.
