As congressional Republicans are fighting hard for an Obamacare overhaul, author Steven Brill has been a prominent voice in the debate.
On CBS’s 60 minutes Sunday, Brill explained his perspective and the idea that even though many more Americans will have access to healthcare, the bad news is: “We have no way in the world that we’re going to be able to pay for it.”
His biggest issue with the Affordable Care Act, which he goes into in his book America’s Bitter Pill: How Obamacare Proves That Our System Is Broken, is the disregard for cost control, and he went into detail about why this could have been overlooked with journalist Lesley Stahl.
