Evolent Health CEO gets a mention in NYSE ad on CNN

An NYSE ad that debuted this week includes some screen time for Evolent Health CEO Frank Williams

It’s always interesting when digital health wins a mention on mainstream TV. But an ad for the New York Stock Exchange that debuted this week includes some screen time for Evolent Health CEO Frank Williams, Washington Business Journal noted.

It follows the company’s initial public offering earlier this year. It’s interesting because I’d have thought that Fibit would be more likely to grab a mention given the company’s mass market customer base. Evolent, by comparison, develops software with hospitals and payers as part of a long-term strategy to support the shift from a fee-for-service to outcomes based care model for healthcare.

Last week, Williams participated in a panel discussion at the Rock Health Summit with Fitbit CEO James Park. They shared insights on their experience taking their companies public.

Health IT has been getting more and more visibility in traditional advertising mediums from IBM Watson Health’s TV ad to Fitbit and other wearables. Fitbit has aired a couple of ads so far: one in November in the runup to its IPO and one earlier this year.
