Stephanie Baum to moderate Internet of Things discussion at IMPACT investor conference

The panel will address the rise of the Internet of Things as a way to manage more and disparate sources of data but will also address some of the cybersecurity concerns it raises with views from pharma, digital health startups, cable and academia.

MedCity News’ Stephanie Baum will serve as the moderator for a panel discussion on the Internet of Things in healthcare at the annual IMPACT conference in Philadelphia.

The investment event is held by the Greater Philadelphia Alliance for Capital and Technologies at the Ritz Carlton in Philadelphia from Nov 3-4.

The panel will address the rise of the Internet of Things as a way to manage more and disparate sources of data but will also address some of the cybersecurity concerns it raises.

Baum, the digital health editor at MedCity News, will be part of a panel that includes Larry Brooks, Director, Business Innovation – Digital Health at Boehringer Ingelheim; Tyson Marian, Head of Internet of Things at Comcast; Joshua Stein, CEO and Co-Founder at AdhereTech; and Brett Hemenway, Research Assistant Professor of Computer Science at the University of Pennsylvania.
