Impact Pediatric Pitch deadline approaches

The application deadline for Impact Pediatric pitch is February 5.

imageHistorically overlooked by medical device manufacturers that don’t view it as lucrative enough, the pediatric medical device market  nonetheless has compelling need for innovation. Last year marked the inaugural edition of Impact Pediatric Health Pitch at the South by Southwest Interactive festival and the February 5 deadline for this year’s batch of applications is approaching.

In 2015, CareAline’s Kezia Fitzgerald won over the judges from Boston Children’s Hospital, Cincinnati Children’s, Texas Children’s
Hospital, and The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, as well as Mark Cuban of ABC’s Shark Tank, who had made a few healthcare investments himself. She was also a keynote speaker at MedCity’s ENGAGE conference.

Ten finalists will be selected from the applications to pitch their business at SXSW Interactive on March 14.

For more information or to apply to present, check out Impact Pediatric’s website.

The pediatric medical device consortia, of which there are several regional chapters, are each aligned with a Children’s Hospital. They collaborate with medical device manufacturers, engineers and advocates. For more information about this initiative, check out this link.
