For this week on MedHeads we will be looking at the fund-raising terrain for digital health companies. We will discuss the challenges of raising money today. What are the big obstacles? How could things be better? What does a modern startup need to do that others may not have in years past?

Our own Neil Versel will moderate, and he’ll be joined for this discussion by Dr. Dan Peterson, founder of Teqqa, which is focused on improving the treatment of infectious diseases and addressing the growing problem of antibiotic resistance. Also taking part are Lucas Felt, president of The Medical Memory, which developed a way  to record and share physician visits, and Steve Kraus, a partner with Bessemer Venture Partners.

Both Teqqa and The Medical Memory will be taking part in the StartUp Showcase at MedCity INVEST April 12 and 13.

Tune into MedHeads at 1 p.m. Eastern this Friday. Join us via the YouTube embed below or on our Google Hangout Hangouts On Air page.
