The Product
MeYouHealth’s platform includes engaging, clinically proven products that hundreds of thousands of people use to boost their well-being and make healthier choices in their daily lives. With more than 50 programs, from smoking cessation to prenatal care to stress management, there’s something for everyone, no matter where they are in their well- being journey. MeYou Health’s “open social” model provides extra power to the interventions, because members can participate with anyone in their social network and thriving product communities, regardless of employer or health insurance coverage.

The Impact
MeYou Health validates all the interventions using randomized control trials and publishes the results in peer-reviewed medical journals. The company’s pedometer-based walking program, Walkadoo, has been shown to increase daily average step counts by nearly 1,000 steps, sufficient to impact biomarkers. Daily Challenge, the flagship product, increases overall well-being enough to impact individual health behaviors and overall healthcare costs. QuitNet, the smoking cessation program that combines coaching and digital resources, has been the subject of multiple studies, including an efficacy trial funded by the National Institute of Health.

Customers or Pilots
Customers include: Amerisource, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, AvMed, Blue Shield of California (120+ employer configurations), CareFirst (130+ employer configurations), Healthways (30 employer configurations), Texas Health Resources, and Wellmark Blue Cross Blue Shield. We are currently piloting the platform with Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota.

Revenue Model
MeYou Health charges health plans, large employers, and geographic health systems a monthly licensing fee, plus the industry’s only per-engaged-user-per-month (PEUPM) activity fee. This means the customer only pays for members who are still utilizing and engaged in the MeYou Health platform.

A Deep-dive Into Specialty Pharma

A specialty drug is a class of prescription medications used to treat complex, chronic or rare medical conditions. Although this classification was originally intended to define the treatment of rare, also termed “orphan” diseases, affecting fewer than 200,000 people in the US, more recently, specialty drugs have emerged as the cornerstone of treatment for chronic and complex diseases such as cancer, autoimmune conditions, diabetes, hepatitis C, and HIV/AIDS.
