This week we are hosting our annual MedCity INVEST conference online. Today’s agenda includes a panel discussion on investment trends and the biopharma track of the Pitch Perfect contest. The conference kicked off July 20 and concludes on Friday July 24. You can check out the agenda here.

At 12:30 pm today, a panel of traditional and strategic investors will share perspectives on investment trends and strategies in health tech and life sciences amidst the coronavirus.

Moderated by Dennis Depenbusch, BlueCross Blue Shield of Kansas Director, New Ventures Initiative, the speakers include:

Biolife4D is applying 3D bioprinting to developing a patient-specific, fully functioning heart with the patient’s own cells, eliminating the challenges of organ rejection and long donor waiting lists that plague existing organ                              transplant methods.

Temprian Therapeutics is a pharmaceutical startup company operating out of the MATTER incubator in Chicago. It is focusing on drug development targeting autoimmune disease. The primary indication of its TT01 drug is vitiligo.

Each day of the week will feature a pitch competition highlighting five startups in these tracks – Health Services, Health IT, Medical Devices, Biopharma and Diagnostics. Presenters will highlight their vision for changing healthcare followed up by a Q&A with investor judges. Winners for each track will be announced on July 27 on our website.
