MedCity Media seeks a blogger to write about entrepreneurship in healthcare: the ideas, policies, issues, companies and people that drive innovation in the medical industry. This part-time position would last for eight months and pays $1,000 monthly, with an opportunity for additional work based on performance.
Bloggers would post a minimum of 10 items monthly, including summaries of relevant breaking news items recast for the site’s core audience; unique, reported ’scoops;’ analysis about issues in the industry. The blog is part of an online medical community owned by a major organization dedicated to entrepreneurship that will be maintained by MedCity Media. The role would allow the blogger to build a national reputation leading the discussion on entrepreneurship and business in the medical industry.
Applicants need to be passionate about entrepreneurship, understand what makes the medical industry tick, and comfortable writing in a new-media fashion. The right person will be able to bring keen insight to their articles in a voice that will make people listen and come back for more. The author can be located anywhere in the United States.
The core audience for the blog is entrepreneurs in the medical industry and, secondarily, the ecosystem around them: investors, policymakers and service providers, among others.
