New operating, financial chief for Medina General Hospital

Medina General Hospital has picked Vicky Snyder as its chief operating and chief financial officer, both new positions. Medina General agreed to affiliate with the Cleveland Clinic on April 2.

MEDINA, Ohio — Medina General Hospital has picked Vicky Snyder as its chief operating and chief financial officer, both new positions.

Prior to joining Medina General, Snyder was operations vice president at Fairview Hospital, which belongs to the Cleveland Clinic.

“Vicky has extensive administrative, financial and operations experience with 20 years of health care financial management experience,” said Robert Stall, Medina General’s president, in a written statement.

One of the few remaining independent community hospitals in Northeast Ohio, Medina General agreed on April 2 to affiliate with the Clinic. The Clinic agreed to pay in capital of $50 million to the Medina hospital system and its foundation as part of the affiliation expected to close later this year.

On April 15, the Clinic rearranged leadership positions at two of its hospitals, including appointing Stall as president of Medina General. He had been president of Euclid Hospital, another Clinic affiliate.

Stall replaced Gary Hallman, who spent 16 years as Medina General’s president.
