University Hospitals in Cleveland names new board members

Health professionals, legal authorities and chief executives from major companies in Greater Cleveland are among the nine people named to the University Hospitals board and the board of its primary health center, University Hospitals Case Medical Center.

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Health professionals, legal authorities and chief executives from major companies in Greater Cleveland are among the nine people recently named to the University Hospitals board and the board of its primary health center, University Hospitals Case Medical Center. Board terms last for three years.

There are five new members of the UH board of directors:

  • Andrew Banks, chief executive of Mid-America Consulting Group who is also on the Kent State University board of trustees.
  • April Miller Boise from the Cleveland offices of the Thompson Hinelaw firm, who also serves on the board of trustees of The Cleveland Foodbank, Cleveland Zoological Society and Cuyahoga Community College Foundation.
  • Joseph Carrabba, chairman president and chief executive of Cliffs Natural Resources.
  • Heather Ettinger, executive vice president and partner of the wealth management firm Fairport Asset Management, who is also on the board of directors for the United Way, Cuyahoga Community College Foundation and Sisters of Charity Foundation.
  • Dr. Robert Salata, chief of the division of Infectious Diseases and HIV Medicine at University Hospitals Case Medical Center and a professor at Case Western Reserve University.

The four members of the UH Case Medical Center board of directors are:

  • Jerry Kelsheimer, president of Huntington Bank’sGreater Cleveland Region, who also serves on the boards of the Cuyahoga Community College Foundation, Cleveland Leadership Center, United Way of Greater Cleveland, Cleveland Sports Commission and Cleveland Development Advisors.
  • Eddie Taylor Jr., president and chief executive of Beverage Dispensing Solutions and a founder of Collaborent Group. He also serves on the boards of directors of Cleveland Leadership Center, Greater Cleveland Sports Commission, Northeast Ohio Council on Higher Education, Presidents Council and Playhouse Square Foundation.
  • P. Kelly Tompkins, chief financial officer of RPM International, who is on the boards of Magnificat High School, the Greater Cleveland Partnership’s Government Affairs Council and the Alzheimer’s Association of the Cleveland Area Chapter.
  • Christine Wynd, dean at the Breen School of Nursing at Ursuline College.
