UniNet Healthcare Network, a clinically integrated network headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska, has unveiled a new alliance with San Francisco-based Innovaccer.

By utilizing Innovaccer’s InData platform, UniNet will be able to bring data from various sources — such as EMR systems, claims files, the state HIE and admission, discharge and transfer feeds — together.

Through more unified and transparent data, UniNet will be able to help physicians and clinicians improve care quality and lower costs.

“By combining claims and clinical data, Innovaccer will provide UniNet the ability to produce timely reporting and actionable analytics to assist the providers to better understand and meet the needs of the patients we serve,” Ann Oasan, UniNet president, said in a statement.

Founded in 1998, the CIN is part of Omaha-based CHI Health. It includes physicians, hospitals, specialists and ambulatory surgery centers and has more than 3,000 provider members. In addition to its home base in Omaha, UniNet has locations in Kearney, Grand Island and Lincoln, Nebraska.

Via email, Innovaccer CEO Abhinav Shashank said the relationship between the organizations took off when UniNet learned of his company’s software being deployed at Mercy ACO in Des Moines, Iowa.

When asked how he would define success in the endeavor, he explained: “With over 3,000 providers and 36 hospitals who are collaboratively managing over half million lives, the success of the collaborative mission would be if we can integrate all their disparate sources of data spread across 76 geographies and help them take actions in a timely manner to control the costs.”

Innovaccer, a healthcare data platform company, has various analytics products that have been implemented at over 500 locations, including Catalyst Health Network in Texas.
