EyeScience Labs, which sells vitamins and supplements for eye care, has raised $600,000 in equity, according to a regulatory filing.

The Powell, Ohio-based company sells two versions of its vitamins — one for age-related macular degeneration, a disease that can lead to blindness, and one to relieve dry eye.

In 2008, EyeScience reached a deal with CVS Pharmacy to sell its vitamins at the retailer’s locations.

The $600,000 in funding was sourced from eight investors, with the first sale closing on March 4.

EyeScience had previously reported two equity investments in documents filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. In July, the company reported raising $150,000 from two investors, and in August 2009, it reported $400,000 from four investors.

CEO Jeffrey Northup didn’t immediately return a call.
