A North Carolina-based hospital system is amping up its healthcare social media efforts with hospital news videos delivered digitally across various social media platforms.
Carolina HealthCare System in Charlotte, North Carolina has launched a weekly video newscast that consists of news and feature stories about the hospital and its physicians. Carolina HealthCare is the largest hospital system in the Carolinas, encompassing 30 hospitals and more than 600 care locations in North and South Carolina.
The hospital system calls its Web program CHS Network News. The roughly 10-minute newscast is posted each Monday to CHS websites, its Facebook and Twitter pages, as well as YouTube. Carolina HealthCare’s marketing and public relations department produces the newscast in recently completed production studios.
“This news program, as well as the development of the production studios, is part of a larger effort to reach our audiences through new and more effective ways,” CHS Executive Vice President Russ Guerin said in a statement.
