Paying Your Primary Care Doctor Directly Leads to Better Care

I have an Op Ed in today’s Washington Times which discusses the advantages of a direct financial relationship with your primary care doctor. This means you become a true customer of the doctor rather than today where the insurance company is the customer. Direct payment, perhaps through a high deductible policy or a retainer based arrangement, means better care, greater satisfaction and lower total costs.
