This week’s mHealth Summit generated more than 15,000 tweets over the four days of the event — a testament to just how much social media has become part of the healthcare conversation.

Twitter enthusiasts Tim France (@francetim) from Inis Communications and Tom Fowler (@GlobalHealthTom) put together this handy infographic on best practices for live tweeting a conference.

Some of the best takeaways? Be the “eyes and ears” of people who can’t physically be present by tweeting insights, photos and videos that they can’t get elsewhere. But, remember that people follow you because they’re interested in what you think and say. Apply your own knowledge and experience to what speakers say and what others tweet.
