Each week, many millions are invested into life sciences startups. There are so many that often, they get lost in the weeds. We’re keeping track for you – based on regulatory filings reported to the SEC. Here are the new funding notices from Oct. 17 to 23:

Biotech

AgeneBio – Baltimore, Maryland

  • $4.1 million in equity raised of a proposed $10 million
  • According to Phase IIa trials, its drug – levetiracetam – is showing promise in treating the mild cognitive decline that often results in Alzheimer’s. The drug’s usually used to treat epileptic patients.

DNATrix – Houston, Texas and San Diego, California

  • $20 million in venture funding
  • Developing a viral-based treatment for glioblastomas – rare and devastating brain tumors. Currently enrolling patients in Phase 1 trials. It’s also working to extend the platform to ovarian, prostate and pancreatic cancers.

Dual Therapeutics – New York, New York

  • $6.4 million in equity raised of a proposed $15.3 million
  • Working on small molecule modulation of a tumor suppressor enzyme that blocks two important and common cancer pathways. Geared towards prostate cancer, lung cancer and acute lymphoblastic leukemia therapeutics.

Unum Therapeutics – Cambridge, Massachusetts

  • $12 million Series A round
  • Cancer immunotherapy company. It’s developed an antibody-coupled T-cell receptor that galvanizes a patient’s immune system to attack tumor cells. It says it’s unrestricted by antigen and has broad utility among a number of types of tumors, unlike most immunotherapies that are highly targeted.

Healthcare.com – Minneapolis, Minnesota

Medstatix – Lancaster, Pennsylvania

  • $1.5 million in equity raised
  • Developing survey software for doctors to help gauge their patient’s experience of their health care – because satisfied patients tend to heal better and file fewer malpractice suits.

Telcare – Bethesda, Maryland

  • $34 million in equity raised of a proposed $36 million
  • Developing mobile applications – including lead product, Telserve – to monitor blood glucose levels for diabetics. It’s the first FDA-approved glucose monitoring platform to connect caretakers and providers with patients to help monitor and better manage the condition.

Akadeum Life Sciences – Ann Arbor, Michigan

  • $150,000 in seed funding
  • The just-launched Akadeum works in the field of targeted cell isolation, to provide scientists in the medical and agricultural fields with the specific cells they need for research and diagnostics.

IES Diagnostics – Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Cambridge, Massachusetts

  • $4 million in equity raised
  • Measuring interferons released in the bloodstream to diagnose autoimmune conditions like lupus, rheumatoid arthritis and multiple sclerosis.

Sinopsys Surgical – Boulder, Colorado

  • $8.3 million in equity raised
  • Treats chronic sinusitis through the eye – using a device to surgically reroute the tear duct to drain into the sinuses, alleviating the pressure and leakage associated with the condition.

Vomaris Innovations – Tempe, Arizona

  • $5 million in equity raised
  • This device company generates bioelectrical fields that are meant to hasten wound healing. This microcurrent technology energizes silver and zinc particles applied on the device surface, which in turn has antimicrobial properties when electrified.
