The Mayo Clinic has made an exciting departure from the norm today by naming Dave deBronkart (aka “e-Patient Dave”) as its 2015 Visiting Professor. This choice not only honors Dr. William J. Mayo’s emphasis on the importance of a diverse medical practice, it puts a spotlight on the necessity of patient engagement.
