Mobile health and fitness app startup Nudge recently launched Nudge Coach, a HIPAA-compliant tool that it says allows health professionals to analyze consumer data from health wearables by organizing the data in  one spot.

Nudge Coach is built on a web-based platform that interprets wearable data, including a user’s hydration, fitness, diet and sleep patterns. It is then combined into one score, dubbed “the Nudge Factor, which is meant to give healthcare professionals a “snapshot of user’s overall health.” It also contains a private-messaging tool for the healthcare worker to communicate with users in real time to provide feedback.

The Tennessee-based company, started in 2012 by Mac Gambill and Phil Beene, is initially targeting healthcare workers and not specifically physicians, although it has received interest from small practices and concierge practices, the founders said.

“We are not targeting doctors per say, but we have spoken to doctors, especially those in small direct care or concierge medical practices, who are extremely interested in the way we present data,” they said in an email.

It also plans to fully offer the wearable data available for physicians in the near future as the product matures and, eventually, incorporate it into an electronic medical record.

“As this product matures we will continue to incorporate new data sets, including biometric data from various sources, and potentially extend our uniquely curated data into EMR in actionable ways for physicians,” the founders said.

The company released its first product, the Nudge app, for iOS and Android earlier this year in January
