One of the worst parts of hobbling around on crutches? That searing pressure-pain under your arms. Atlanta medical device company BetterWalk says it has a fix for that – it’s redesigned the traditional crutch to redistribute the user’s weight – so that all of the pressure isn’t focused on the armpits.
The young company just closed a $450,000 Series A round, which will be used to ramp up manufacturing and distribution of its uber-crutch.
The round was led by Memphis-based life sciences investment firm MB Ventures
