Indiana’s life sciences get $60M boost at Purdue

Purdue University is investing some $60 million in its life sciences program, with aims to boost research in fields like integrative neurosciences, inflammation, immunology and infectious diseases.

Purdue will also invest separately in precision medicine, pharmacophenomics, biological big data science, and toxicological sciences and engineering.

“The life sciences are a critical part of our considerable research portfolio and enhancing our impact and reputation in this area is of significance to Purdue’s future,” President Mitch Daniels said in a statement.
