CINCINNATI, Ohio — Two new programs by Cincinnati’s life-science organization BIOSTART are meant to expand its offerings to companies that don’t operate at its facility and build its membership.
BIOSTART has entered into a partnership with YourEncore, which provides management and scientific advice as well as grant-writing help, among other things. Both organizations have agreed to a one-year pilot, in which some of YourEncore’s services will be free to BIOSTART and its affiliates.
In addition, BIOSTART in February created Dialedin.org, a life-science portal that provides funding information, current events and expert advice to start-ups, established companies and academic institutions in the region.
With the Rise of AI, What IP Disputes in Healthcare Are Likely to Emerge?
Munck Wilson Mandala Partner Greg Howison shared his perspective on some of the legal ramifications around AI, IP, connected devices and the data they generate, in response to emailed questions.
Search engines are driving more clients to BIOSTART as a result of the site, according to the organization. It hopes the increased Web traffic will lead to an increase in membership.
The two offerings are part of the group’s effort to help all of its life-science startup companies, including those that don’t use its physical space. BIOSTART members businesses include Surgical Energetics, Siloam Bioscienes and CL Solutions and all use its laboratory space. The organization also reaches out to life-science companies within the geographic region and Midwest companies located in communities lacking resources.
