The Ohio Third Frontier Commission has awarded more than $3 million to entrepreneur-support organizations that provide services and investments to startup technology companies.
The grant awards were made under the Third Frontier Pre-Seed Fund Initiative and Entrepreneurial Signature Program.
— Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber was awarded $2 million for its Southwest Ohio Signature Program: The Next Generation. This program will fund CincyTech USA so it can continue to provide services and investments to Southwest Ohio entrepreneurs with bioscience, information technology and advanced manufacturing companies.

— JumpStart Inc., Cleveland, was awarded $300,000 for its project to fund two advanced energy entrepreneurs-in-residence who will accelerate and sustain the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Northeast Ohio and help transform the region’s advanced energy economy.
— JumpStart also was awarded $865,000 for its Third Frontier Entrepreneurial Network project to provide continued entrepreneurial services to technology startup companies in Northeast Ohio. Collaborators on this grant include the Akron Global Business Accelerator, Braintree in Mansfield, MAGNET in Cleveland and the Youngstown Business Incubator.
