The Northeastern Ohio Universities Colleges of Medicine and Pharmacy (NEOUCOM) has hired a former University of Cincinnati official as the dean of its College of Medicine.
Dr. Jeffrey Susman most recently worked as the director at the University of Cincinnati’s Department of Family Medicine. His appointment at NEOUCOM took effect earlier this month, according a statement from NEOUCOM.
Susman had worked at the University of Cincinnati since 1999. His accomplishments there include increasing the Department of Family Medicine’s research activity and funding.

Susman received his medical degree from Dartmouth Medical School in 1981 and first practiced medicine in rural Nebraska, according to the statement.
His primary research interest is primary care mental health.
NEOUCOM recently began the process of changing and shortening its name. In the future, it’ll be known as Northeast Ohio Medical University.
In June, NEOUCOM appointed its first-ever dean of graduate studies, Walter Horton Jr.
