Now here’s the best of what YOU had to say:

Medical school for free? Not a good idea. “But rather than focus a critical eye on why medical school has become so exorbitantly expensive, the authors choose to offer a proposal to make it free. By doing so, the authors suggest there is no need for introspection about the antiquated and costly system of medical school education that exists today. There’s no need to reconsider the academic tenure system and its burden to state budgets. There’s no need to consider that many university programs are already crumbling under large debt loads and struggling to meet the training and caseload demands of their students, farming them out to private institutions to assure they meet their requisite number of cases.”

Doctors more likely to be Democrats now. “On the whole, younger doctors – and older ones who are sticking with the profession – seem to have the patients’ interest increasingly at heart. And that’s no bad thing.”

Medtronic human head shipment to be cremated. “Medtronic Inc. (NYSE:MDT) is no longer interested in the three tote boxes of human heads that Arkansas officials seized last year, and the noggins are set to be cremated. ”

Does an Online Presence Make Doctors Better Healers? “The number of Americans who use the Internet as a health information resource is steadily rising. People would rather surf the Web for answers to their health and medical questions than brave the frustration and inconvenience of a doctor’s office visit. This presents a real and present issue, since a considerable number of sites provide faulty or downright dangerous information. ”

A history of Memorial Day and medicine: Healthcare on the battlefield. “Medicine has much to be grateful for to war, but I wish we’d find a peaceful way to make these advances. Here are just a few.”
