A key part of MedCity Media’s mission is to share its content with trusted partners. I’m excited that we’ve entered into a syndication agreement with one of Research Triangle Park’s most trusted and innovative media outlets, Capitol Broadcasting Company.

Under the agreement,Capital Broadcast can use MedCityNews.com’s content in its publications. For now, that means you’ll find us alongside other great reporting on WRAL Tech Wire. The stories have been running for about a week.

These agreements are important for MedCity Media for a couple of reasons. I started the company with the idea that a focused, Web-first new media publisher could help traditional outlets by writing about news that was harder to cover in the era of a harsh media economy. That’s why you see MedCityNews.com content on the likes of Motley Fool, MinnPost, Yahoo!, WKYC-TV and many others.

But part of the MedCity Media mission statement is also to become a member of the medical communities we’re covering. Part of being in the community is making sure the news we’re covering reaches the local audience.

We’re excited to be bringing our unique local coverage of North Carolina’s medical industry to the region’s best broadcast company.
