Clinical research company Radiant Research has expanded its business into consumer products testing, and has signed to deal to help manage a dermatology safety study.
Executives of the Cincinnati-based company decided to launch its new consumer products division with a dermal safety study due to its deep dermatology experience, plus Radiant recently hired new staff with years of consumer products experience, according to a statement from the company.
“In terms of dermatologic product development, Radiant is equipped to offer what other existing laboratories struggle to do — early stage dermal safety testing, as well as the follow-on phase 2 and phase 3 clinical trial testing required for drug approval,” said CEO Julie McHugh.

Radiant is evaluating whether to hire more workers or buy new testing instruments for the new division, according to the statement.
