We Work for Health Ohio will be co-chaired by leaders of the trade group BioOhio and the Ohio Chamber of Commerce. Other initial members include the Columbus chapter of the NAACP, drugmaker Pfizer and the Hunger Network of Greater Cleveland.
The newly formed group pointed to research that showed Ohio’s biomedical industry provides 195,835 jobs and produces annual taxes of $3.2 billion.
The group says it hopes to add additional members from the biomedical industry, health advocacy groups and the business and academic communities throughout the state.
